senior bird

Hello, I have a question my African Grey will be 12 years old this December 21. My question is when can I feed senior lafeber food to him what age is a African Grey a senior. Thank you and have a great day.

Answer:

Hi Jose,

Your bird is still a young bird. Greys can live in excess of 50 years, so maybe at 25 – 35 he is getting closer to being a senior. However, he can have the senior food at any age. The senior diets contain ingredients that are good for birds at any age, but some of the ingredients are particularly beneficial for senior birds. Many of our customers include them in their bird’s diet as a preventative diet. Remember that you can offer one type or a variety of our diets as they are all nutritionally balanced.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
