Turner<\/strong> is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathobiology at the Ontario Veterinary College at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ovc.uoguelph.ca\/path\/people\/faculty\/pvturner.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">University of Guelph<\/a>. Dr. Turner received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Doctorate of Veterinary Sciences (DVSc) (Comparative Pathology) from the Ontario Veterinary College. She has been a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine since 2000. In 2008, Dr. Turner was awarded the Charles River Canada Award for outstanding achievements in laboratory animal science, and in 2007 she received the Procter &amp; Gamble\/Humane Society of the United States \u2013 North American Animal Welfare Award.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Patricia V.
