From 1990-1999, he worked in private practice in Milan, before serving as the Veterinary Director of Loro Parque<\/a> in Tenerife, Spain from 2000 to 2005. Dr. Crosta also served as the Consulting Veterinarian to the Brazilian Government for the Spix\u2019s and Lear\u2019s Macaws Recovery Program from 2000-2014. After Loro Parque, Lorenzo returned to his homeland where he earned a Ph.D in Veterinary Clinical Sciences from the University of Turin in 2009. From 2018 to 2021, he was an Associate Professor of Avian and Zoological Medicine at the University of Sydney School of Veterinary Science, Australia.
