Thomas Boyer<\/strong> earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Dr. Boyer co-founded the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians<\/a> in 1991 and he started and served as editor for the Journal of Herpetological Medicine and Surgery<\/a> for 18 years. Dr. Boyer also helped establish and became one of the first Diplomates of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners<\/a> in Reptile and Amphibian Practice in 2011. Dr. Boyer owns the Pet Hospital of Penasquitos<\/a> in San Diego, California, where he treats a diverse reptile caseload.
