Comprendre la carapace des tortues

La carapace des tortues se compose d'os en forme de plaques plates entourant du tissu spongieux. Ces ostéodermes sont dérivés des côtes, des vertèbres, des clavicules, des interclavicles et des côtes abdominales. Une grande partie de cet os est membraneux ou dermique, ce qui signifie qu'il n'a pas été préformé avec du cartilage . . .
