Product Description

Amazon parrots, African greys, Pionus, and other birds can be easy to read when it comes to food preferences. They might screech with delight, do a happy perch dance or eye pin when offered a favorite food. The challenge is that parrots don’t always show this enthusiasm when it comes to healthy selections — when was the last time your bird got excited about a bowl full of pellets? Pellets offer complete nutrition but not much in the way of taste or texture.

That is why we created Parrot Nutri-Berries, to offer the best of both worlds — balanced nutrition that is fun to eat and full of flavor. We also believe that parrots should play with their food. Nutri-Berries have a round, textured, berry shape that is perfect for your parrot to hold and pull apart to eat; a simple yet effective way to promote foot health, as well as work his tongue and beak.

We’ve perfected a way to nutritionally balance our foods without sacrificing taste or texture the way regular pellets do. The Lafeber difference is in the hulling. The seeds and grains in Nutri-Berries are hulled first, and then coated with stabilized vitamins, chelated minerals, and amino acids, which keeps the nutrition right where it belongs — in each and every bite.

Parrot Nutri-Berries also contain 16.5% pellets bound together with wholesome ingredients, and they offer balanced Omega 3 & 6 essential fatty acids to boost your bird’s immune system and to promote healthy skin and feathers. Our foods are naturally preserved and free of artificial colors, so you can feel good about offering them to your parrot.

Serve small Parrots (Senegals, Caiques etc) 10 berries at a time. Medium Parrots (African Greys, Amazons) 15 berries at a time. Large Parrots (Macaws, large Cockatoos) 20 berries at a time. For all birds, continue to keep a fresh supply of food and water available at all times. These are average amounts and will vary for each individual bird. Monitor your bird’s weight and adjust the amounts accordingly.

Love them as a client of Dr. Susan Orosz

Love them but I would like to suggest that you continue the large boxes for parakeets too and it’s stressful to not be able to get the fruit pellets in the 25lb box. Going away from large servings may hinder those of use with many birds.

Amazon loves them!

My parrot has been on the Nutri-Berries for most of his 28 years. He ignores loose seed and pellets but goes after these nuggets. He likes breaking them up as much as eating them. I'm glad to know that they are nutritious as well.
