Product Description
Parrots like Amazons, African greys, and Pionus are always on the one-eyed lookout for something extra special at mealtime. These birds crave foods full of taste and texture, which is exactly what they’ll find in Tropical Fruit Nutri-Berries with its whole seeds and grains mixed with real pieces of pineapple, papaya, mango, and 26% pellets all rolled into a berry shape a parrot can hold and delight in each bite.
Instead of all the seeds and grains being ground down into a pelleted form, the ingredients in Tropical Fruit Nutri-Berries are left mostly whole to give your pet bird the flavors and textures pelleted diets lack. And, unlike vitamin- and mineral-fortified seed mixes that essentially lose their health benefits once the bird cracks open the seed, Nutri-Berries are made with hulled seeds and grains; each berrie is then coated with essential vitamins and minerals to ensure that your parrot receives balanced nutrition in each bite. We also use chelated minerals for better absorption, stabilized vitamins for better longevity, and we naturally preserve and flavor our foods.

I am experimenting with the 3 lb. bag. So far so good. Charlie, Jr. is a male Australian Eclectus and seems to like the Tropical Fruit Nutraberries. If he shows the same enthusiasm by the end of the bag I will order a 14 lb. box like I did with the Sunny Orchard Nutraberries which he loves. BTW, in response to a previous review I want to mention that the 3 lb. bag is resealable. It just takes a little bit of patience to line up the seal strips on both sides of the bag.

Best treat ever! I have not purchased directly from this site, I didn’t realize you could! my newest flock members, two GCC came with about 15 berries left, these are how and why they go back into their cage force-free. all my birds are fed a fresh chop diet all day, (sprouted seeds, veggies, microgreens, leafy greens, etc all chopped/put in the food processor until very fine) a naturally colored pellet for snacks/dinner. these are treats. they are however the BEST treats. these are what I call “jackpot” value treats.

Great product that my conure loves. I only feed as treats and rewards but she would eat the whole bag if I let her. The bag reseals and keeps them fresh. The 3 lb bag doesn’t last very long around here.. My dog even tries to steal them on occasion!

I have been feeding my Green Cheek conures nutriberries, and specifically tropical fruit nutriberries for over 15 years. I feed them 8-10 berries per bird per day, along side fresh fruit, vegetables, and one dairy item (usually hard cheese). At night they get a hot dinner which may consist of rice, beans, veggies, protein, etc. They love their nutriberries and I have no bad health issues, and their plumage always looks good and they are healthy and happy! They will spend hours a day foraging with their nutriberries. Two of the birds hold the nutriberry in one foot and eat it standing, promoting excellent balance. The younger birds take a while to reach this skill, but it seems to be excellent exercise! I buy the 20 lb boxes and parse the amounts in to kitchen sized plastic containers. Extra can be frozen or sealed in the provided giant ziplock bag that works great everytime If UPS leaves them on the porch, sometimes the squirrels have broken in to the box so be ware!

Excellent treats for your bird, BUT the bag won’t last. The resealable zipper is NOT good. The zipper stays closed one side tears away from the side of the bag making it NOT RESEALABLE. Both the small bags and the 3lb bags are the same. Don’t expect to make it all the way through the bag without MOST going stale (I got about 15 treats into the 3lb bag TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS NOW!). Great product, TERRIBLE packaging!

We are sorry to hear you received a faulty bag/packaging, and we appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. We purchase our packaging from a handful of domestic vendors and haven’t had any quality issues for the most part. We would like to investigate this further and review it with our bag vendors and also review our current supply. If you could send us the Best Before date of the defective bag and the bar code numbers, both listed on the back, it will help us in reviewing the situation.
Also, please contact our customer service at 800-842-6445. We would like to send you a complimentary package of your bird’s favorite Nutri-Berries. We appreciate your business, and we thank you again for taking the time to write to us.
