Parakeets breathing

I have a parakeet who is wheezing and breathing hard
I don’t have an avian vet close by and would like to do it naturally if at all possible

Answer:

Hi Janette,

Your bird’s best chance for surviving is to be treated by an avian vet, even if you have to travel a bit further to see one. Natural remedies are typically used along with conventional medicine, but should ever be used without the advice of a Vet and proper dosage. I’m sorry but other than taking him to a Vet, there is nothing more we can recommend. There are a number of reasons why a bird can have breathing problems, but without treatment, all will be fatal at some point.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
