Do we introduce a young zebra finch again in its parents cage?

After the young ones grew up, parent birds starts to wean, then we have to keep it in a separate cage. After that can we reintroduce those young birds again into the parents cage? (i. e after some months passed from separating it from its parent)

Answer:

Hi,

No, the parents would either reject them and attack them, or try to breed with them. If you tried to cage them together, then you could not let your birds breed anymore and not have nests in the cage. You can only have one pair of birds in the cage if you let them breed and you should never, ever allow related birds to breed. So you also cannot keep male and female offspring together.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
