Unfortunately there is no central database for leg band numbers. Most breeders use their own initials, so there can be more than one breeder who uses the same code. However, the leg band can help you know if the person who tries to claim the bird is the true owner. I would recommend listing the bird on 911 parrot alert, https://www.911parrotalert.com/ without listing the band number.
