Hormone Implant Site

I read that placing the implant subcutaneously in the breast area of a bird comes with an increased risk of complications and is not advised. Why is this, please?

Answer:

Hi,

This is something you would need to discuss with your Vet. Dr. Stephanie Lamb recommends the implant, on a case by case basis. She will be presenting a free webinar next week. She may discuss the implant and we usually have time for questions at the end, so you could ask then.
