My love bird just suddenly died after almost 5 years with her?

My lovebirds name is Renata and today at around 10 pm my mom realized that she was on the ground with her wings open we believe she was still alive and a couple minutes later she did pass away. We have no idea how this could have happened she was always a very happy bird that only thing was that she didn’t have a mate bug I don’t think she could have died from depression.

I am very sorry for your loss. When a pet bird dies, it can seem very sudden, because we do not always know when something is wrong. A vet would have to perform a necropsy for you to know why she died, and sometimes the cause can’t be determined. If she was healthy, a true sudden death is almost always caused by a household toxin. Anything with a strong scent or fumes can be deadly for a bird. If something new had been added to the home that day, or maybe new cookware or a cleaner was used, that could be what happened.
