First day at home

Today my bf and i got a canary. While attempting to transfer him, he got loose. How do we get him in his cage? Ps he is 8 months old.

Hopefully you were able to get him back into the cage. For future reference, most birds have very poor vision in the dark. So if you can turn the lights out, it is usually easy to pick the bird up. The safest way is with two people – one person gets as close to the bird as possible, then the other person turns the lights out and you can gently pick the bird up.
