My pet crow doesnt eat meat

My crow is 3 years old and she doesnt eat meat. I did as much research as i could about her natural diet before and after bringing her home, but she doesnt want to follow it. She eats fruit (bananas, strawberries, often apples), vegetables (potatoes, squash, cucumbers), dairy (cheese, yogurts) and grits, but she refuses to eat meat. Every time i put meat into her bowl she drags it out and hides it somewhere to rot. She`s losing feathers and getting thin. Im worried. Is this normal crow behavior? She is a plain gray street crow.

Answer:

Hi,

Since it is illegal to own a crow in the United States, I have no information on keeping one as a pet. I’m not sure where you live, but if owning one is legal, I would recommend trying to find out more locally. It sounds like the bird needs Vet care.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
