Nesting box

What if you don’t have one and they’re laying on their eggs in the corner of the bottom of the cage

Answer:

Hi Teri,

They really need a nest box. The eggs and the chicks need to be contained. And the eggs and chicks stay warmer in a box. They rarely do well on the cage floor – eggs get broken, chicks crawl away and get cold, and sometimes the parents are more likely to lose interest in the eggs or chicks.
