Answer:

Hi,

I am very sorry for your loss, but there is no way I could know why she died. You would have to take her body to a Vet, and even then, there might not be an obvious cause. She may have been sick in some way and you didn’t realize it. Sudden death can be caused by an airborne toxin, so if anything new was introduced in the home that has an odor, that could be the cause. A lot of scents that are OK for people can kill birds. Some examples are cleaning products, candles, burned food, some types of cookware, room fresheners, insect sprays. Nothing with an odor or fume should be used in the same house with a pet bird. Again, I’m sorry for your loss and can’t provide a clear answer for you.

Take care,

Brenda
