Love Birds

Hai there
I had two love birds. And it laid 7 eggs.
But unfortunately male bird died.
Will the female bird need a pair or Can it be stay single?

And it’s been more than a month since the eggs were laid. And still none of the eggs hatched and 1 egg broke itself with yolk inside. Remaining six eggs are intact now.
Will it take more time to Hatch?

Please do reply. !

Answer:

Hi,

Since the broken egg had a yolk, most likely none of the eggs were fertile. It is best that they aren’t because she can’t care for chicks by herself. She needs a male to help her. It would be good to get another mate for her at some point because she will be lonely by herself unless she is tame. If you get another bird, it needs to be about the same age as her. And you can’t put them together right away. They need to be in cases side by side to get used to each other. When you do put them in the same cage, you need to watch them closely or they might hurt each other. Do not give them a nest box unless they end up bonding and mating.
