Parrot tail feather

I accidentally pulled out my Indian ringneck tail feathers and I don’t see any blood and will it grow back ?if so how long will it take

Answer:

Hi,

The tail feathers will grow back. But it’s hard on a bird to grow a lot of feathers at once – when they molt, they lose feathers gradually. Parrots are prey animals, so if you accidentally grab their tail feathers, many species can release these feathers as a way to escape a predator. Always be careful not to handle or pull on the tail feathers.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
