My canary ate some newspaper! Will it hurt him

Hi,

Are you sure he didn’t just shred it to use for a nest? It would be very unusual for a canary to ingest something like paper. While it probably won’t hurt him, if he shows any signs of not being well, such as not eating, you should take him to a Vet. The best thing to use in a cage is brown wrapping paper or any plain printing paper without any print. You can also but unprinted newspaper. Most of these can be found at an office supply.
