About my finch bird

This is the second time she laid eggs but they never hatched why

Answer:

Hi,

There are a lot of reasons why eggs don’t hatch. It can be poor incubation, the eggs are infertile, something is wrong with one of the parents, poor nutrition & more. The best thing to do is remove the nest and rest the pair for a few months before letting them try again. They need to be eating a nutritionally balanced diet such as a finch pellet or granule, not a loose seed mix. Also offer leafy greens, chopped veggies and an egg food – a commercial dry egg food or cook an egg with the shell washed, crushed and cooked with the egg. They also need the right type nest for their species. And they need a lot of privacy.
