tail bobbing

my 5 year old quaker is bobbing his tail for a while now what causes it

Answer:

Hi,

Tail bobbing is a sign of some type of health issue, usually very serious. It could be a breathing problem or pain of some sort. The best thing to do is take the bird to an Avian vet as soon as possible. Birds can succumb very quickly to an illness so you should always take a bird to the vet at the first signs of a problem.
