My Celestial birds are fighting

I have 6 Celestial birds in a big avery, they all are good together, i added a couple of 2 where the one keeps on chasing the other and fighting and i really dont want to get rid of the couple

Answer:

Hi,

I’m not sure if you have Parrotlets or some other species of bird. However, when you have several birds in the same cage or aviary, you should not give them nests or anything to nest in. This will definitely cause fighting. But as far as adding the pair, if they are fighting and you do not have nest boxes, then it sounds like these birds are not compatible with each other, or they are not a good fit with the rest of the birds. There is nothing you can do to make birds get along. Some birds are simply not compatible. It helps to always have as many food & water stations as there are birds, or they tend to fight over food and water. And the cage must be large enough for that many birds. You should have a lot of perches, toys, swings and ladders – things to keep them busy, and again, NO nests or nest boxes. If the two birds still do not get along, then you may have to separate them, otherwise, the other birds may start getting into the fight, too.
