Regurigation

Hi. One year ago we had bought a male love bird. From last one mothe he started regurigating over all the object he see and if we go near he attacked on us to bite can this be stoped or if continues is there and problem. As soon as he come out off the cage he starts and for every 20 mins of half and hour

Answer:

Hi,

This is hormonal behavior, and usually it’s seasonal. You can discourage it by taking away anything he is regurgitating on. Especially any mirrors or anything he can see his reflection in. When you let him out, don’t let him have free roam. This can mimic searching for a nesting site. Don’t let him get into small areas, even behind a couch cushion or getting in your lap, underneath anything. Don’t let him shred paper or cardboard. Try taking him out of view of his cage to handle him. Lovebirds can be very territorial, so if he can see his cage, it can prompt him to bite.
