Can I have 3 birds together

Can I introduce a budgie to a new budgie if the old one already had a friend who died

Answer:

Hi,

You should not keep an odd number of birds in the same cage. Even if they are the same gender, two will tend to bond and leave the odd bird out. If you had two birds, and one died, you can try introducing a new bird. This should be gradual and closely supervised. You can’t make two birds get along. All you can do is hope they accept the new bird you choose.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
