How to create a bird-safe room
I have a pair of lovebirds living in a fairly roomy cage, and I know it’s important to let them out regularly for exercise and mental stimulation. I have several plants, which I cover up as much as possible when I let the birds out. However, my female lovebird always finds a way to get to a plant, and commence destroying. I love my plants and I don’t want to get rid of them. I love my birds and want them to be happy and healthy. I was thinking of converting the bathroom into a bird recreation room and removing the plants in there (an acceptable compromise). But a bathroom must be cleaned, and I use cleaning products. Would it be safe to let them out there, a day or two after having cleaned? I worry about residual products they might come into contact with. Thanks for your advice!
