Silica & silica compound

I bought a Cuisinart ceramic cast iron dutch oven online. It wasn’t till I received it in the mail, that I noticed It had a sticker on the bottom that said this pot contains silica & silica compounds. I read that it has killed parrots. I have white dove birds & I am going to return it. Have you heard of the silica in the pans?

Unfortunately, I have not. But I have used a lot of heat types around birds. I would look for one without that.
