Thank you for reaching out to us. I’m very sorry for your loss — losing a bird to PBFD is incredibly difficult, and we understand how stressful this situation can be.

To help ensure your home is safe for your next bird, you can use your F10 disinfectant for cleaning. F10SC is effective against circovirus when mixed at a stronger dilution (1:100). We recommend cleaning all surfaces the previous bird contacted and allowing the solution to air‑dry for proper contact time. Daily cleaning for 2–3 weeks is ideal.

Soft items can be washed with hot water and detergent, and hard surfaces, floors, and nearby walls can be wiped or sprayed with F10. Vacuuming with a HEPA filter is also helpful for removing feather dust.

With regular cleaning, your home will be safe for your new African grey arriving in mid‑June. Since your new bird is an adult, the risk is even lower, and the time between now and arrival provides a safe buffer.

If you have any other questions or need additional guidance, we’re here to help.
