Altitude Sickness for a Budgie

Is it safe to bring my pet budgie into the Big Bear Mountains? I live in the greater Los Angeles Area, and I have a tripped plan for the coming weekend. I want to make sure my little buddy will be safe and not in harms way if I bring her.

I’ve been asked this before, but really can’t find a definitive answer about altitudes and pet birds. I think generally it isn’t an issue, but on the other hand, she might do best at home unless she travels really well.
