Diamond dove eggs and nest

There is no bedding in the nest the diamond doves are sitting on currently. New at these sweet birds. I researched what bedding to get and ran out to get it. Is it ok to remove the eggs, put proper bedding down and replace the eggs immediately?

Answer:

Hi,

If you disturb the nest and eggs, they will most likely abandon the eggs. Diamond Doves are nervous compared to other doves and in general, any breeding bird will abandon the nest if you make changes after they have eggs.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
