Excessive use of vitamins

Hello experts, I have a question in my mind that I want you to help me with. I read that Becomplex should be taken six days a week, but I was surprised because according to the information I have and what I read, any type of supplement or medicine should be under the supervision of a doctor. Well, arbitrary consumption of all kinds of supplements or even excessive use can destroy the parrot. Isn’t it dangerous to use Becomplex in this high dose without vet supervision? With this high volume, can we use any vitamin that is soluble in water? It is very important and questionable for me. Because as far as I have read, it should be prescribed only if necessary according to the diagnosis of a specialist doctor

You should be feeding your birds a nutritionally balanced diet like pellets. These will be supplemented with what the birds need. You are correct that you should never give an extra supplement of any type unless directed by your Avian Vet. The internet and social media is full of wrong information and a lot of it can kill your bird. Any vitamin given in excess can be toxic. We recently had a webinar addressing this.
