Help! Bird plucking

Hello there!

My lovebird has been plucking his “armpit” region to the point where it’s bleeding. He plucks at only this region only from what I’ve observed. Is there any medicine I could potentially get for him to maybe prevent any infection or stop his itching?

I am currently at a position where due to personal circumstances, going to the vet is not an option available to me at the moment.

There are so many possible causes, and we can’t begin to guess what might help. Many Vets will accept payments, so you could try that. Without a Vet exam, there’s no way to know what is making him do this.
