Is this cardiovascular?
Hello,
I have a 12 year old lovebird. Last year he had an episode where he flew to a playground perch and he couldn’t control his left foot to perch. I called my vet and explained what happened and the dazed look for a minute after until he recovered. She said it was a seizure…possibly a stroke. She prescribed a tiny dose of aspirin for three days. He never had another episode. A couple of days ago, almost a year later, same thing happened but not as bad as last year with his foot. We did the aspirin dosage again…tomorrow is third day. He seems tired and I notice he tucks his left foot in once in a while during the day. He never does that even when he’s sleeping. My vet doesn’t want to stress him out at this point by taking blood but she thinks it’s cardiovascular, based on her experience. He eats Lafebers …loves anything Lafebers. Some carrot, broccoli, kale, peas, apple. He’s out all day long flying all over the house. He also has two lovie companions. How do I know without stressing him out with blood tests what the problem is?
