Laying eggs

My finch is laying eggs every other day then she breaks why is this

This is a bad habit that she most likely will not stop. She may be eating the eggs for the nutrition or just because she likes them. Breeding birds need a nutritionally balanced diet such as a pelleted diet. A seed mix does not provide the nutrition they need. You should also offer leafy greens, chopped veggies, and an egg food. This can be a commercial dry egg food, or cook an egg with the shell washed, crushed and cooked with the egg. If improving the diet does not make her stop, then you should remove the nest and not try to breed this bird again.
