Liver health – Liver Disease Webinar Dr. Lamb

my eclectus parrot had a bacterial liver infection in the past. What can I do now to help support his liver health?

Here is Dr. Lamb’s response:

Have blood checked by your veterinarian to see if he currently is having liver problems. If so, things like milk thistle may be helpful. If his liver function is appropriate now though then you may not need any medication. The liver is amazing and regenerate after damage so if the infection resolved and there was no scarring he may not need anything specific. Just a good diet and good husbandry to keep him healthy.
