Love birds

Would a a yellow and orange bird and a turquoise bird be ok to mate both love birds

Answer:

Hi,

It depends on if they are the same species. There are color mutations in the more common species, so a yellow peach faced lovebird could breed with a green peach faced. But you wouldn’t want to breed a yellow peach faced lovebird with a masked lovebird, for example. You need to determine what species you have before you consider breeding them. Color has nothing to do with it.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
