Selective eating

My Meyer’s parrot loves your nutriberries. She excitedly grabs the berrie and digs in allowing the pieces to fall into her bowl ( which is very nice of her). She goes back to that bowl throughout the day eating what dropped. My question is that what I discard from the bowl after 24 hours appears to be mostly pellet and binder. Is she getting the nutrition she needs in her selective eating of the nutriberries? Her diet is nutriberries and a fresh chop at lunch.

Answer:

Hi,

Every ingredient is coated in a nutritionally balanced binder, so she is getting the nutrition she needs even if she skips the pellets. You can try offering fewer at a time, to encourage her to eat most of each berry so there isn’t so much waste.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
