Cockatiel moulting

My 17 year old cockatiel typically has few or no behavioral or feeding issues during moulting, but this year is a little off her usual food preferences. Is there a supplement I could give him to help?

Answer:

Hi Vanessa,

If your bird is on a fortified food, this should be enough. You don’t want to overdose him on vitamins. Make sure his droppings look normal. If he stops eating he could be sick and not just molting. Watch him carefully and take him to the vet right away if you feel like he is sick.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
