Finch is doing weird noises

My finch is doing some weird noise, I’d describe it as a little motor? I’m not sure. It sounds really weird and I’ve heard her do it often and i don’t know if it means something. Thanks in advance.

Finches make a lot of different sounds which vary by species. Most calls are to contact other birds or to warn of some danger. I don’t know what this call might mean,  but if it is something she does all the time it is nothing to worry about, it is just one of her natural calls. You can try doing a search for calls for her species and you might be able to find audio of the call.
