I found a parrot yesterday in the streets. He was very injured and was unable to stand up and fly. He was attacked by crows or some other bird. And I took him in, sheltered him. His legs were looking bad but now he is okay. BUT…he cannot stand up. He falls down on his back but very active. He is eating well, reacting but cannot stand. There is a toe which is a little weird to look. Please help me

You need to take him to an Avian Vet or to a parrot rescue. His injuries need to be determined and he will need some type of medical care. Even though he can’t walk now, he may be able to recover. I have had parrots that were totally paralyzed by an injury and eventually regained use of their legs and wings – it can take weeks, months or with one it took over a year. But first he needs to be checked out by a vet. And of course he is someone’s pet and they are probably looking for him. So check lost pet listings for your area. If there is a parrot rescue near you, they will help you. I hope the little guy gets better – thank you for rescuing him.
