How many berries to feed?

Good afternoon. I have a Red Lored Amazon who loves Nutri Berries, and my question concerns serving size. How many Nutri Berries should I be giving him every day. In the morning he gets a mixture of bananas, berries, apples, pomegranate seeds, and other fruits, along with his Nutri Berries. In the evening it’s usually vegetables, and both times he gets his Nutri Berries. What is your recommendation on the number of Nutri Berries in the morning and evening? Red Lored’s are wonderful Amazons, aren’t they! I’m glad he is such a good eater. My red lored also eats well. Mine eats 6 – 8 berries a day. This can vary by bird depending on metabolism and activity level. It is important for him to eat most of each berry and not just pick out his favorite bits. I would suggest 3-4 per feeding. If he seems to eat all of those and wants more, then this is fine. Parrots should always have some food available in their cage because in the wild they forage most of the day. They are not like a dog or cat that you might feed once or twice daily. But feeding as you are doing is fine as long as he has the morning food available to him until he gets his evening food.
