Nutriberries crumbling

My congo african grey loves to hold and eat the nutriberries. However, most of the nutriberries with me have crumbled. This happens with every packet i buy. She still eats the crumbled pieces, but i would like her to have the pleasure of holding the larger nuggets. Is there any way i can put the crumbles together again into berries?

Answer:

Hi Pritom,

The berries may be drying out a bit, depending on how you store them. I store mine in the freezer and only take out about a week’s supply at a time. I store that in an airtight container. Some flavors of the Nutri-Berries do not crumble as easily. The Tropical Fruit generally do not because the dried fruit keeps them a bit softer.

A good way to use the crumbles is to cook birdie bread! We have an easy recipe here, and instead of using whole Nutri-Berries you can use the crumbles.
