Out at night

I am wondering if I can have my bird (lory) out at night.

Answer:

Hi Hunter,

If you are asking if it is ok to handle your bird at night, this is fine. Parrots learn to adjust to their owner’s schedule. If you are asking can he be left out of the cage at night, absolutely not. Parrots can get into a lot of trouble when not supervised and a lory is especially mischievous. Also birds cannot see well in the dark and it would be easy for him to fall off the cage and get injured.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
