cockatiels breeding info

Hi im trying to breed cockatiels and i need to know what should I do to make it happen faster and make them more healthier

Answer:

Hi Sayed,

There is nothing you can do to rush breeding. In fact you need to have a lot of patience to breed birds, because there are often failures before a pair successfully raises any chicks. The parents need a large cage, a cockatiel nest box affixed to the outside of the cage as high as possible, a nutritionally balanced diet supplemented with fresh fruits & veggies, dark leafy greens, multi grain bread and cooked eggs and plenty of privacy. Breeding birds do not like to be disturbed, so try to leave them alone other than feeding them. After this is all done, it’s all about waiting and hoping they breed and lay eggs.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
