Budgie do not mate

My budgie do not mate or not lay eggs after 3 months? But now a days the female has no afried to my hand her stand the floor of nest why?

Answer:

Hi Sudi,

It takes a lot of patience to breed birds. Three months isn’t very long. It can take much longer for a pair to bond and decide to nest. Give them plenty of privacy. I’m not sure if I understand the second question. She may be getting ready to lay an egg if she doesn’t want to move out of the nest box. If you think she is sick, please take her to an Avian vet.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
