Budgie not sitting on eggs

My budgies nest box has broken which contained eggs fortunately eggs was safe but I replaced old nest with new one and I placed eggs in new nest box. But my budgie not sitting on eggs what is reason

Answer:

Hi,

Birds breed if they feel their environment is safe. Changing a nest box while they already have eggs is too disruptive. A lot of bird owners have made the mistake of cleaning the box while they have eggs or chicks, and the pair will almost always abandon eggs and chicks if something major is done with the nesting box. Once they get used to the new box, they will mate and start a new clutch.
