About the behavior of my lovebird

Hi i have a lovebird chick his name is bubbly he is 1 and a 1/2 month old I bought him three day ago he turns his head to the back and hide it in his feathers while sleeping is it okay to sleep in such a position

Answer:

Hi Katie,

If he is eating and drinking and active the rest of the time, then this is fine. If he is only 6 weeks old, that is a little bit young for him to have been weaned already. Make sure he is eating and being active. If he is spending most of the time sleeping, then he may not be well. I would contact the breeder or pet show in that case, or take him to an Avian Vet. Hopefully Bubbly is just getting used to his new home.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
