My cockatiels have layed there first clutch of eggs I was replenishing their food when I noticed one of the parents inside I opened the box to check if it had layed eggs and sure enough they did, but now I haven’t seen either parent go inside and keep them warm. I’m worried the eggs will die should I remove the eggs and get an incubator or let nature take its course?

It’s best to let the parents figure it out. It’s not easy to incubate any type of parrot egg, and the incubators are expensive. Cockatiel chicks are hard to keep alive when you feed them from the first day. Even the most experienced breeders lose most of their chicks that they have to feed from the start. Most first clutches fail, either before they hatch, or even after – the parents don’t always feed the chicks right the first time. Just give them privacy and hope they start to sit on the eggs. But either way, this is a learning experience for them. It’s the only way to find out if they are going to be good breeders.
