Fly over at dinner time

Why did my parakeets always fly over me when I sit down to eat my dinner. It never fails I come into the room with my plate sat the table and if their out fly by time? Why?

They are probably just curious about what you are eating. This can be a good way to teach them to eat fresh foods – fix them a plate and give to them when you eat.
