I am regretting my newly scheduled vet appointment for my two budgies. I got them in March, and they are about 6 months old. Since it is just a check-up, should I cancel the appointment?

Hi Jane,
It’s good to take a bird to the Vet for a wellness exam. The Vet will get the bird’s weight and also check the stool. The Vet may recommend other tests, and you as the client can ask why each test is recommended. Knowing your bird’s normal weight, and what is normal in his stool, can expedite a diagnoses if he ever gets sick. So unless he is so stressed that you fear for his well-being, then go ahead and keep the Vet visit.
