Pls help with my cocktails

I have two cocktails and the male one is running to bite the female one continuous, and like they have . basket in their cage with some of toys .and the male cocktail jump on female one nad pushes her down wards I don’t understand what to do with them pls help me with this question

Answer:

Hi Disha,

It sounds like the male wants to breed and the female doesn’t want to breed. She may be too young or just isn’t interested. If she is under 2 years old, she should not be in the same cage as the male anyway. I would remove the basket, because the male thinks this is a nest and it is making him want to breed. I would also split them up if he continues to chase her, or it is likely to escalate and he might kill her. Birds should not be caged together if they fight a lot or if one chase the other most of the time.
